The GOP cannot adopt the language that abortion is “Safe, Legal, and Rare" under President Trump in the platform without the body of delegate’s vote at the RNC convention in June. Every four years (except in 2020 because of Covid) the platform remains the same or the language is changed depending on the times. In 2016 Phyllis Shafley was on the platform committee and stopped American Unity from adopting same sex marriage. Of course there are plenty of Republicans and think tanks that take Paul Singers’s and Peter Thiel’s money because they push for an all inclusive Republican Party. Even so called think tanks are beholden to these purveyors of abominations. Delegates who go to the RNC are voted on by the body of each state GOP at their district and state conventions. Each state has elected a national committeeman and national committeewoman, that is 100 people who get a vote. Then each state GOP chair gets a vote on the language in the platform. That’s 50 more people that republicans can get in contact with to tell them to reject any language that says a heartbeat bill at 15 or 16 months is acceptable to the *true* pro-life community. This is when we need pastors engaged in reaching out to the leadership in your state. Get a group of pastors together and meet with them ahead of time.
