The Liberal gov knew that student visas are nothing more than an immigration scam for years and not only they did nothing about it, they let it get worse.
From studies going back to 2015 & 2018 showed that 1/3 of student visa immigrants didn't event enroll in schools.
Many others went to schools that can barely spell on their website or articulate what they are teaching.
It was clear for years the student visa immigration was nothing more than open doors to get into Canada without going thru a proper vetting and immigration process.
Reminder: there is no background checks for student visa immigrants.
