❗️ Today, the Parliament has taken an important step in regulating the issue of preservation and further use, in particular, of reproductive cells of military personnel in the event of their death, in order to carefully preserve the priceless gene pool of the nation.
The Parliament adopted the Law of Ukraine on the Preservation of the Gene Pool of the Ukrainian People (No. 10448).
The adopted act stipulates that in case of death or declaration of death by a court of a person whose reproductive cells are stored in accordance with the law, their free storage is carried out for three years from the date of death of this person or declaration of death by a court.
After this period, the further storage of such cells may be extended at the expense of another person designated in the person's will in respect of his or her own reproductive cells stored in accordance with the law in the event of his or her death or declaration of death by a court.
