There was a time when, in pursuit of believers, the secret services of a country broke into houses. A rumor spread that a search was underway and that anyone who had a Bible found in their possession would be arrested. One believing woman stood at that time at the oven and baked bread. What to do? Where to hide the Bible? Without thinking twice, she wrapped the Bible in raw dough and put it in the oven along with other loaves. As soon as she had time to do this, they came to search her house. They turned over and rummaged through everything - from the cellar to the attic, but found nothing. The pursuers left, the family sat down at the table. “Look, the Bible was not damaged at all in the furnace,” the woman exclaimed. “Like Sidrach, Meshach and Abednego, whom King Nebuchadnezzar threw into the red-hot furnace, and they came out without any harm and there was not even a smell of fire from their clothes.” The Lord miraculously took care that the Word of God would remain in this house.
