It's been 1125 days since the murder of Ashli Babbitt and Michael Byrd is still walking around free. The lawsuit states, “The facts speak truth. Ashli was ambushed when she was shot by Lt. Byrd. Multiple witnesses at the scene yelled, ‘you just murdered her.” The legal action asserts that Mr. Byrd, currently serving as a USCP captain, demonstrated negligence both in the utilization of his firearm and in his flawed assessment that Ms. Babbitt presented an imminent threat to his life.
