Morocco and the Zionist regime intend to jointly build a military base in the city of Afsu (north-eastern Morocco), which is located approximately 68 km south of the Spanish Melilla and 180 km from the Algerian city of Mahnia.
Algeria and Spain view any cooperation between Morocco and the Zionist regime as a threat to their security. The cooperation extends beyond defense issues and also includes an intelligence agreement.

Morocco and Israel signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the fields of security, defense relations, intelligence, industrial complex, military training and much more.
