We had the ‘Christmas Fairy’. Every year, a week or two before Christmas, she would come in the middle of the night and gather up all the toys our kids had outgrown, didn’t play with, were broken or needed some repair. One year, our daughter decided she wasn’t going to let the Christmas Fairy get anything, so she enlisted my aid in helping her find a good hiding place. I told her I didn’t think it was possible to hide anything from the Fairy because she had Santa’s magic in her, but she insisted and hide stuff, we did. The next morning her shoulders slumped when all the hidden stuff was gone and finding the note the Fairy left thanking her for packing up all the stuff for her to take. The Fairy left her a large candy cane as a thank you.Fast forward about 8 years. The look on her face when she realized that WE wer the Christmas Fairy was priceless
