What would YOU do? Can’t imagine why anyone would carry this much money around, but there IS a reason and maybe it’s someone’s life savings, sooooo I’d count it and then call an attorney. If memory serves, ‘stuff’ that is found and turned in to the police is returned to the finder after a period of time has elapsed with no one claiming it. My question for the lawyer is, can it be held in an attorney’s escrow account rather than by the police? For sure, it’d be easier to get the money back from the attorney than try to get it back from the Police/city/state.
