While filming The Searchers, Beulah Archuletta, was found crying by John Wayne in between filming scenes. When Duke asked why she was crying, she responded that she was going to miss her son's wedding due to the filming schedule. Duke stopped production for a couple days & flew her out to

California so she could attend her son's wedding.
