For those that don’t know and weren’t lucky enough to watch the the show, that’s Andy Griffith. He passed away in 2012. Mayberry RFD was filmed in Mount Airy, NC. Friends live there and we’ve visited. It’s a charming little town and this statue is in the downtown area… along with a whole bunch of other ‘Mayberry’ buildings and memorials.
