True to a point but he was a progressive. News was not bought and paid for to be used for an agenda back then. The held the government accountable for their actions. Now the government controls the news.

He admitted to shading "the truth" as he became older and was proud of it. Yes, many times he gave his opinion and not just the news. I know, I used to watch him and saw him report crap that I was directly involved in at the time. Not even close to reality but it served the liberal narrative.
