Derinkuyu is an enormous underground city located in Turkey that once house around 20,000 people. It was discovered accidentally by a man knocking down a wall in his basement. Archeologists have revealed the city was 18 stories deep, and had everything needed for underground life, including schools, chapels, and even stables!
