I had a car bed for my eldest in 1972 that just set on the back seat, with lap belt over it. Really creepy to think of now. There were no belts in the bed to hold her in place

When I was a kid my dad would put a sleeping bag in the cross bed toolbox in the pick-up, I would lay down and ride there because he had a standard cab truck and three other passengers, Good Times Hahaha.
