When I was a kid, my dad had a gladiola garden with big beautiful gladiola plants. Little did I know that when we decided to stop traveling, sold our sailboat and bought a house in NC (it was December, so no flowers were evident) that he gave us his ‘seal of approval’. That first spring the gladiolas sprouted so I know, for sure, that my dad approved of our purchase and is still with me.
