Never Surrender to Darkness
Never give up. Never surrender to darkness. It really is when God is working the most in our lives that the Devil will try to take us down and take us out.
Take heart, instead of being discouraged. Before any major working of the Lord, there is a spiritual battle, that tests our resolve and our determination to follow after righteousness and shun evil.
If we realize this we would seek Jesus right away and lean into His strength. We would delve deeper into His word, in preparation for what comes next.
But it is so much easier to get distracted, focusing on the darkness, and the hard things. But that will open us up to being buffetted by the attacks of the Devil.
We should not make it easy for Satan to mess with us by surrendering to his whims. We need to stand strong in the Lord and trust in His strength.
We need to keep going when it seems impossible to keep going. We need to hold fast when we feel like falling apart.
God is faithful. He will never abandon His own. The Devil wants us to forget this. But we need to remember it. We need to cling to it. We need to draw closer to Jesus. It is the last place the Devil wants us to turn, because in Jesus is our strength, and the light in the darkest of places.
Stay strong! Trust in the Lord and in His faithfulness.
