We can live in this world while not being of this world. We can appreciate the good things in this world, while brushing aside what is not.
We can help while not being caught up in an endless cycle of problems all around us. Temporary help is important, but more important is showing the way to the Creator of that help, to Jesus.
This world is fading away. Our bodies are breaking down. Our life is a flicker. If we focus too much on what is temporary, we will lose focus on what is eternal.
We are physical beings and we have physical needs, but we are also spiritual beings and spiritual needs should not be neglected.
Our main focus should not be on the physical, but the spiritual. And when it is we can live in a physical world and walk in the Spirit.
Set yor affection on things above, set your sight on Heavenly things, focus and work for Gd and the Kingdom of God, what is coming, not what is fading away.
"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ Who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Colossians 3:1-4
Stay strong! Even while you live in this life, keep your focus on the eternal.
