The Goodness of God Amidst the Evil of the Devil
If we don't understand that there was a time when only goodness existed, we will not understand God and what He creates.
If we do not understand this, we will not understand how Heaven can exist without any evil in it.
There are NOT two equal sides, good and evil. God is good and created all things good.
Good is what everything is supposed to be, was made to be.
All angels, Heavenly beings, people, animals, birds, fishes, insects and things were made good in the beginning. All things were meant to remain good. Good is what is right. Good is light.
Evil is not original. It is a corruption of something good that already was created.
Good does not need the contrast of evil to exist. But since evil is the corruption of good, the twisting of what is good, evil cannot exist without goodness existing first.
And evil can only grow when there remains goodness to corrupt and twist.
If all goodness ceased to exist, evil would grow stagnant after feeding on itself, devouring the last morsel of remaining goodness in anything and everything.
Evil is always seeking goodness, so it can corrupt it and devour it. The more vulnerable a person becomes, the more tempting they are to evil. We should never make ourselves or our loved ones an easy prey for evil.
Evil always seeks to corrupt the young. And when the young are not taught good morals, it is especially easy for evil to corrupt them.
Left to their own devices, without guidance, the young are easily manipulated. And those with corrupt intentions will seek out the young to corrupt them early and will make quick work of it.
To keep enough goodness to feed off of, they give the young a purpose that seems to justify their actions, even evil actions.
Evil cannot create. It can only twist, pervert, destroy or warp something that was already created. Even if that creation is a mere strand of DNA. It may imitate creation though, in that way.
Evil will twist good ideas into bad ones. It will twist helpful into harmful. It will twist attraction into lust. Evil will mutilate what is beautiful, because God creates beautiful things and evil hates God.
Beauty can inspire the heart, bring joy and hope. Evil is fought off by all of these things.
Evil seek to depress, divide, destroy, cause hopelessness and apathy, to bring darkness to the soul, so people are an easy prey, that once caught, remain trapped
Evil twists and uses words and disguises to make what God says is evil, appear good. And what God calls good, it will make it appear undesirable.
God makes such beauty. His original creation of this world is almost unimaginable to us now.
What we see now is not a fraction of the amazing world that God created it to be, because choosing to listen to darkness, blocks the light in a heart.
Evil seeks to twist and pervert the goodness and truth inherent in all created things, to its purposes.
God made all things good. God also gave us free will, so we could willingly choose to follow Him.
But in the Garden of Eden, mankind chose to listen to the serpent, Satan, rather than God. And ignoring the warning that eating the forbidden fruit would bring death, they ate of it and felt their first pangs of death enter their bodies. And not only that, but all creation fell under the curse with them.
A choice with untold consequences, including the introduction of sin nature into all of us, that we all have to deal with every day.
A battle was lost in one Garden, that Jesus had to win for us in anothet Garden, and on the cross.
Satan will use our sin nature, and our selfishness born of that sin nature, to destroy goodness.
Everything good is from God. All the evil and twisted things are thanks to Satan and anyone following Satan.
When Satan, an angel of light named Lucifer, rebelled against God, seeking to rule in His place, he twisted all his light into darkness and all the goodness into evil. Satan may come disguised as an angel of light now, but it is a trick. Do not be deceived.
Tricks are what Satan plays on every person who follows his darkness. His deception works on those who want to follow self, rather than God.
It does not lead to a good place, look at what happened to the angels who followed him in his rebellion. They will share the Lake of Fire with him.
Satan is evil and the personification of evil. Following his advice in the Garden of Eden cost humanity Paradise. Following Satan now leads to the Lake of Fire.
Stay strong! Flee evil and run to Jesus! Repent and turn from your sin. Surrender fully to Jesus as you Lord and Master, your King!
