Odds and Ends
Today was a fun day shopping with my sister to get supplies for Christmas baking and Christmas time.
It snowed a few inches last night, but the roads were cleared off fast and the trees got more snow covering to add to their beauty.
It was fun seeing Christmas decorations everywhere. And the people we ran into were generally in a good mood. Total strangers chatted with us merrily as they dod their shopping. No one was hectic or pushy, a miracle in itself.
Since it was Tuesday, and pretty early yet in the month, things were stocked nicely. That always helps things go smoothly.
My supplies for our Christmas baking is pretty well set now. That is a good feeling. Later this week comes the serious work of baking. But it is also part of the fun!
Since we are cutting our tree, we will wait a bit longer before doing that, but we picked up more lights for it, and will be going through the decorations.
Each day gets a little closer. I am enjoying this time of preparation and the excitement of anticipation, and spending time with my family and friends.
This month is filled with celebrating the birth of my Lord and Saviour, King Jesus! But really, every day with God is amazing for in His presence is fullness of joy! It is always a time to celebrate, though in different ways.
"You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
Psalms 16:11
