View More**Our Stance On The United States Capital - 06 JAN 21** We've said from the beginning that neither are we anti-government, or is it in our mission set to abolish or frame any type of illegal activities against the government. We believe a form of government is needed in the United States as was laid out in the Constitution of the United States of America. That said, we have seen comments asking if we had planed on being in DC on January 6th, as well as other places locally. The answer is a simple and straightforward no. Protest is the right of every American. That is undeniable and guaranteed under the Constitution. However, in many cases we see two sides facing off against each other and yelling and fighting with each other over different opinions and ideologies. What has any of this accomplished? We would say absolutely nothing. It only seems to add fuel to an already blazing fire of emotion driven division. We applaud anyone who was in DC protesting because that is your right, as long as it was being done peacefully. At no time should anyone have taken it upon themselves to storm or force their way into the capital building under any circumstances. Somethings, despite your feelings on it, should be respected. You don't have to agree with the president, or anyone in office. This is, after all, America. However, the offices should still be respected. This also is an absolute for historical property, capitol buildings, etc. At no time should the events that happened on January 6th have taken place. In doing so all that has happened is the further alienation and bias toward patriots and conservatives. We are better than this. Patriots and militiamen had zero issues with being fully armed and holding rallies and protests in Virginia and other places in the country for gun rights without incident, shots fired, or damage to property. So what went wrong here? Folks, what is done is done. It's obvious that there will be a new administration come January 20th whether anyone likes it or not, fraudulent election or not. While you keep hearing all over the place that Trump "has tricks up his sleeve", and other wishful thinking, this does not represent the reality we face. The reality we face is the need to prepare and keep our heads on a swivel as best we can. Something else we've been saying for years if you have followed anything we've had to say before our presence on this platform. This time it just feels different. Especially after the last four years, especially 2020. Storming government buildings and acting without common sense does nothing except hurt your family and take you out of the fight. It doesn't just effect you either. Your actions affect the lives of every patriot, conservative, militiman; anyone that believes with true faith and allegiance in our Constitution. The ones who went into the capital building on the 6th accomplished nothing except feeding more to the media for them to spew on the nightly news, and to further tarnish our side of the equation. In short, it was an embarrassment. Train and prepare. That is what you can do. That is what we're doing, and we will not stop. We aren't going anywhere. One of the biggest concepts in prepping, survival, and with most militias is undoubtedly bugging out based on any number of scenarios. But should that always be the go to plan for your preparedness? Sure, it sounds adventurous and maybe even a little fun (go ahead, you can admit it). However, there are several things to consider. Do you have a place to go? Do you have all of the gear you will need? Do you have 'bug out bags' for not only yourself, but your entire family? Oh.....you forgot about your family.....didn't you...... "Bye kids!! Daddy is going to go fourth in the name of survival! Be good for your mother." Probably not how you want that to play out..... You have your spouse and your children to consider. Sure, you can spread the load with your spouse and your kids and have everyone ready to go with a bug out bag, but the reality of this being a viable option just isn't the reality it is in most movies. You can only pack so much in a backpack, assault pack, or 72 hour bag before the weight makes carrying it very far for an extended period a fantasy. Sure, you can train and ruck every other day, and you might be in peak physical condition, but bags get heavy after a while no matter the type or contents. Not to mention the fact that if you have young children, we all know how much they absolutely DON'T love carrying their own stuff around. You've carried coats, toys, and everything else for them up until you think bugging out is an option, so strapping a pack on them with everything they need to survive is probably not going to happen either. Boots, an extra pair of boots, socks and more socks, changes of clothes, food, water, ammunition, weapons, lights, batteries, medical supplies, rope, fire starters, emergency shelters, blades...... that's only a start and you've probably already got a fully stuffed ruck going as it is. Now add to that all of this for every member of your family and think about injuries and tired children that may not be able to carry their own for very long. And then there's your extended family that might be close to you. We'll use your mother in law Myrtle as an example. Just going to leave her behind while you bug out? Ok, so that's a horrible example. In all seriousness, this is something a lot of people don't think about it seems. Your brother or sister on the other side of town, your parents, cousins, friends, etc. You see where we're going with this...... Maybe they'll go with you, maybe they think you've got one hell of a tin foil hat collection. Regardless, did you include the people you love in your escaping of the apocalypse plans? If you need to get out in a hurry on foot, and you have a pre-planned destination that's only a one or two day hike, the reality probably isn't as grim as we've started this post out to sound. The point of having bags ready to go to escape whatever you need to get away from should get you to a pre-determined site where you will be a safe and have an already (hopefully) self-sustaining measure of living and survival, or a plan to get that self-sustaining location up and running easily. If you don't have such a location, and your plan is just to go fourth into the wilderness and tough it out, it can certainly be done. Humans have braved the wild and lived off the land since the dawn of human history. The problem is that in modern day many of the humans roaming around planet Earth aren't used to that type of living anymore. We've become too used to convenience and comfort. Many don't have the skills or the knowledge to make this work. Other things to consider is your route to get where you're going. Chances are that if things have become so bad you feel the need to pack up and leave your home on foot, you aren't the only one. Especially when fleeing an urban environment you aren't going to be alone in the woods and walking along side the highway probably isn't going to be the best idea either. When food becomes scarce, people get desperate. When people become desperate, your food, supplies, weapons and ammunition become a target for those who are trying to survive just like you, and in that case it's every man for himself. Have you pre-checked your route? Do you cross through a neighborhood? A river? Private property? If you enter someone's property who has a security stance and are also in survival mode are the property owners going to be receptive to your presence? Or are you going to be viewed as a threat with supplies they can take from you? Have you checked for safe places with plenty of cover to stop to rest and even sleep? Sleep is another issue. If things have reached this point threats can be all around you. It's not a good idea for all of you in your group to sleep all at once and then continue your trek at first light. No, you will need security and watch rotations. If your group is a family of four and one of you as the adult is up all night keeping watch, or even half the night, will you be able to face the next day? Sure, you can go with little sleep for a while, we all do it, but inevitably it will catch up to you. These are all things you have to take into account. Something else to think about. Say you have pre-planned a bug out with your friends, or several family members. There are so many of you that instead of going on foot, a couple of you have enclosed trailers and you're going to consolidate all of your gear and supplies into these trailers and take pre-scouted routes to your secondary location. Great! But there are problems here too. Trailers are not an effective measure in any convoy operation where there could be threats down the road. Once again, if you've made it this far in your planning, there is likely a very pressing and dangerous reason your packing up to head out. Road blocks, traffic stops, and other threats are less than ideal with a trailer behind you. No matter how good you are behind the wheel or how much of your life you have pulled anything behind a vehicle things can become stressful and your adrenaline can rise in a hurry. Sudden stops and a sudden need for a K turn can make that trailer useless. If you jack knife it, or ditch it, you're pretty much done. At that point you've compromised your groups supplies, and you've likely made it, and yourselves a target while being on the X too long trying to get everything back on the road. Are there situations where bugging out might be the best option? Absolutely. Hurricanes, volcanoes erupting; very good reasons. However, we're focusing mainly on the Midwest were we are located where these things aren't valid. Tornadoes can be on this list, but normally during our type of inclement weather threats, there isn't enough notice and you're likely to be ok. If your house should be badly damaged and you have to leave, God forbid, at least the situation isn't as dire as most popular bug out scenarios. At the beginning of the pandemic a lot of people started the preparation for a bug out. Not a bad plan at all. Part of your preparedness should take into account every situation and every scenario possible. However, as we have seen for most, life hasn't changed much during the pandemic (and now the electiondemic...). Most of us still had to go to work, pay bills, and a lot of parents had to become teachers. The situation just didn't justify the point of leaving your home in the name of starting over in the great outdoors. Could we get there? Of course we could and don't ever think that day is an impossibility. Complacency is the worst possible mindset you can have especially in 2020, soon to be entering 2021. It's been said there is strength in numbers. There is some wisdom in this. If bugging out isn't a viable solution, staying right where you are at home can be a good idea too. After all, you've worked extremely hard for your home and your property. Packing up and leaving it behind is a very hard decision to make. With this, many of the same above mentioned principles apply. Do you have all of the supplies you need for whatever possibly extended scenario? Do you have security? That's the big one. Security. If you have supplies and a few years worth of preps chances are someone knows. If they don't know what you have, maybe it will just be a guess. Either way as a four person average family you might think you can secure home and property, but you probably can't do it effectively 24/7. Hopefully you've gained a group and a small community of your own that you can count on and that you trust for support when needed in situations like this. After all, that's what it is all about. Taking care of each other. If the worst happens and you feel like you're under threat. Maybe you've seen bad actors in your area, maybe you feel like you're being cased by unfamiliar vehicles, whatever the situation. You're going to need help. Maybe you have a capable teenager that can pull security for you one night. Maybe he goes and helps your buddy keep watch the next night. If one area gets too hot, maybe those close to you in that area come to you for a couple of days. Maybe you have property and plenty of room and the majority of your group comes to you and helps you buy assisting in your security, food preparation, and general preparedness until things blow over. Bug out bags do still play a role here. If the roads are compromised and not safe, you might still need supplies to get from place to place. You will still need food with you, water, protection, and shelter just for starters. Maybe you haven't heard from your battle buddy in a couple of days. Maybe you have scheduled check ins set up and they've been missed. At some point you're going to feel the need to go check and you're going to have to get there one way or the other. This seems like a far more likely scenario. This is the way of the militia. Taking care of each other and protecting each other within our communities. It's not all about training and tactics, although to do any of these things successfully, those are absolutely needed. Ultimately, there are no right or wrong answers to any of this. Research, common sense and training go a long way when it comes to preparedness planning. Everything is dependent on the situation, and the situations that could occur in our future are endless. All of these topics should be discussed within your groups and with your families. What is the best course of action for you during what situation? Do you have a secondary place to go? Is it sustainable? As you can see, the questions are as endless and the reason why you may have to do any of this. Remember, you can spend your entire life training and preparing. If you don't use any of it, you've lost nothing. What you can do is pass it all on to our future generations. If we don't use it, they might have to. We talk about looking to history quite often, and if you haven't figured it out yet, we're quite big on seeing things from the past as they relate to today. It's all just a conspiracy theory right? We all joke about being on some type of list or another, but it may not be a joke or something to snicker about while wondering in the back of your head any longer..... Another case of fascists calling everyone else fascists, while acting exactly like fascists. This is opposite day right? Or did we all get stuck in a perpetual ground hog day mixed with April fools day? You would have to be mentally ill on some deep, deep levels to think any of this is ok. We all know the deep left liberals are insane and it's obvious the socialist democrats aren't hiding themselves or their ideals any longer, but this? View MoreKCAM FAQs These are some of the questions we get asked frequently. Q: How old do you have to be to join the Kansas City Area Militia? A: You must be 17 years of age or older to join KCAM in keeping with the stated age in the Constitution regarding the un-organized militia. Q: How do I join the Kansas City Area Militia? A: Joining is fairly simple. Once we are contacted, we will set up a meeting with you at a time, day and location that works for all involved. Typically these meetings are held at a local restaurant or similar type establishment. We have found that one on one meetings work a lot better than larger public meetings as it gives us a chance to get to know you, and for you to get to know us. We do require a background check to ensure we do not grant membership to anyone with any type of felony conviction, or violent criminal history. This is to protect the property owner, our families and our members as we do train with live weaponry from time to time and if we aren't, they are still present. From the first meeting, if everything goes well two things can happen; you can be invited to training under probationary status, or if we have concerns we need to discuss we may hold off and contact you at a later time. First meetings are typically conducted with at least two of our members. The whole purpose, ultimately, is to ensure you are a good fit for us, and us for you and your life. Q: How much time do I need to dedicate? A: A lot of time and dedication is desired and can be needed. Our main training is monthly and usually covers a Saturday and sometimes can cover a Sunday as well. This is the main event where we ask for the most attendance. With that, work schedules and life in general are completely understood and respected. Q: What type of gear and equipment do I need to have to get started as a new member? A: While we do provide a full gear list, we don't expect anyone to show up to their first training with thousands of dollars worth of new shiny gear straight out of the gate. Gear is expensive and it can take a long time to get it all together and figure out what works. We have the experience and knowledge to help you gain any and all equipment you need so you don't have to waste your money on things that don't end up working for you. What we do strongly encourage first and foremost is a very good pair of comfortable and durable boots along with personal hydration (hydration carriers are also strongly recommended) and insect repellent. For the winter, warm and layered clothing are extremely important. Beyond that, you will start to see what gear is needed and used by simply training with us on a regular basis and you will have a good idea of what is needed, and what simply doesn't work. A: This is a question we will not answer in any form, on any form of social media, the internet, or any other online media for the reasons of OPSEC (Operational Security) and PERSEC (Personal/Personnel Security). Obviously the militia tends to be more on the conservative/right, but our members are of course free to vote how they wish and for any candidate they wish as long as the Constitution and our American way of life is in their best interests and intent in doing so. We do not have the right and will not claim to have the right to tell anyone who to vote for as that is the individual right of every American citizen who is able to vote under the laws and terms currently in place. Q: Have you been to any recent protests or similar such activities? A: No, we have not as we do not believe these activities are in the best interests of the militia, or in the fulfillment of our mission. Q: How long is the probationary period? You mean to tell us, that during a pandemic where people are so brainwashed with irrational fear that some of them won't even leave the house to walk to the mailbox without a mask on, if at all, or go visit a grandparent, or just live life; you mean to tell us that under these circumstances voter turn out was higher than it has ever been in American history? When there isn't a pandemic, voter turn out is usually somewhere in the 60% range +/-, yet this time it's over 95%? Kids can't go to school out of fear, people still can't go sit down and enjoy a movie, or go to a restaurant, or even walk into a grocery store in some places in this country, but these same people managed to suppress their fear to go stand in line and vote? Not to mention with a historical voter turn out there are millions and millions of mail in ballots The electoral process that was put into place to guarantee the will of the people is being openly and blatantly subverted. Never in this country have we seen an illegal election taking place like this, yet all of the signs were there. Social media started cracking down on any and all thoughts and opinions unless they were voiced by the side who has become the obvious perpetrators of election meddling. Exactly what they accused the current sitting administration of. We the People are given the power of the vote, the power of choice, the power to decide. That power has been stripped from all of us. It does not matter who you voted for, and no we are not here to cry because a certain candidate may take office. If your candidate wins the election legally, and without interference, coercion, or malice, then the process worked, and the will of the majority was heard. That is the way it is supposed to be. That is one of the principles and the defining architecture of this republic and our freedom. Now the integrity of that architecture is being compromised. All of the things the radical left has spend the last four years accusing their opponents of, is what they themselves have been up to all along. You want to raise your fist in the air for your 'woke' cause of choice, thinking you're a social warrior fighting for freedom and the American way; hats off to you because while you should have been awake as an American citizen throughout all of this, you've actually aided in the first steps of the destruction of the Constitutional Republic which is the United States of America. You've been so unable to think for yourselves with logic and a critical understanding, that you've let whatever you happen to see on TV and Facebook determine your emotions and your thought processes instead of thinking for yourselves. You've very likely played a part in the first illegitimate and illegal presidency in American history. Shame on you for supporting such division and criminality. Shame on you for supporting candidates that would knowingly engage in such heinous and underhanded tactics just to get their agendas on the table and to get elected. Shame on you for bringing the downfall of the integrity of our electoral process. If Trump was to win, fine. If Biden was to win, whatever. Either should win fairly and by being elected by the people. That is not what is happening. Anyone with even a basic knowledge of mathematics and social studies can see what is going on. That said, this also shows a complete lack of education in this country and how dumbed down the masses have become. Predictive programming and social engineering are a thing. It's done by the media, it's done by social media. 2020 has been an eye opening experience and a lesson in seeing just how sadly and quickly your fellow Americans will comply. Compliance and servitude are why this country was founded 244 years ago. These are why the Constitution of the United States of America was written. These are why those brave souls fled the monarchy of British rule. These are why many Americans have died defending against these two things. If we allow radical progressivism and socialism into America, all of that will have been for nothing. Pray this gets fixed and made right by the American people. We personally know one American citizen who lived this life previously in another part of the world. That person isn't doing the best right now because the writing is on the wall for the things that person witnessed first hand in the name of safety and security, instead of freedom. It's only safety and security for those in power, not the citizens. This is the first step, and it's one we never wanted to see. If votes can be faked and stolen, you can imagine what else could be done. Frightening isn't it? Pray for this country, and as always, if you haven't been training and preparing, you will fail when the bell tolls.

It finally happened, and we had a feeling our days were numbered. If you can't find us on Facebook anymore, our public page got deleted today with absolutely no way to fight it. It's probably for the best. We thoroughly enjoyed the interactions we've had for six years on that platform, but we started getting the feeling we didn't want to be on a platform where we weren't wanted. Hypocrisy rules in 2020. While militias are being attacked for hate, violence, and an entire host of other things, common sense and logic definitely paint a picture of the majority of that coming from the other side of the fence. Granted, there are obviously groups out there that operate under the banner of "militia" that give the rest of us a bad name. Well, for those on the other side who say they aren't about rioting and looting and those who do give them a bad name; sucks doesn't it? Facebook has the right to censor content and voices just the same as your employer has the right to fire you because they didn't like how you acted, or something you said. The First Amendment does guarantee the freedom of speech, but that freedom is not without the consequences of your words or actions. You have the right to say it, but that doesn't always mean you should. Fair enough. If a platform doesn't agree with our thoughts on training and preparedness, that's fine. We have the right to go somewhere else, the same as they felt they had the right to not only nuke our pages, but also all of the personal profiles of our admins. We hold ourselves to a higher standard, and we have since the beginning of the Kansas City Area Militia. We are who we are, and we are what we are. Several times we have been asked why we don't change our name. Would it make things easier? Perhaps, but ultimately to do so would be nothing short of disingenuous. We stand for the Constitution of the United States of America, the Flag of the United States of America, and ALL of her people. We are not a hate group, and you will find no "white supremacy" or any of the other non-sense the media keeps pushing here either. As a matter of fact and principle, a lot of the things that have been said by the media regarding groups like ours lately are very clearly laid out in our bylaws as things we absolutely will not stand for in our organization. However, as I hope everyone has learned lately, the media is the ultimate source of the majority of what has gone so wrong with this country. This includes social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and others who have done nothing but constantly keep the fear train and the racial divide going into a complete meltdown for the majority of 2020.
