Dreams are easy
the work is hard
Sacrifice means nothing
In the world of bazaar
Hands once blistered
With callus and cuts
Now feelings get hurt
Cause life's too tough
Heroes of reality
Held less than pretending
Bravery ignored
When stupid is trending
Rights are questioned
While crimes defended
Politicians get paid
When criminals rewarded
Everything subjective
Opinions pave the way
Facts mean nothing
In this world of today

The world is changing every day and with that change our kids would have to learn to adapt to it. They will be the future of this country but they are the ones that are pushing for changes today that they don’t realize what they will have to deal with tomorrow. No matter what we do as parents, we can’t protect our kids from society, especially what they submit themselves to. Teenagers will push for things that they want because the world is too rough on them. I understand that but, in today’s society, we are making it easier for them and we all may regret it tomorrow.
