I have long been a devotee of natural medicine, and will do my best to keep you informed of the best natural remedies available and where to buy them. Anyone posting anything off-topic to this agenda will be removed and blocked from the group.

The primary parasite known for inhabiting the pancreas, particularly in animals and occasionally humans, is Eurytrema pancreaticum (and related Eurytrema species), which causes eurytremiasis. It is a fluke (trematode) that resides in the pancreatic ducts. Other parasites can cause pancreatic issues, such as Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm) causing pancreatic ascariasis. It is the primary cause of Type 2 diabetes. Eliminate it, and Type 2 Diabetes will go away.
To kill Eurytrema pancreaticum, the most effective treatments are the anthelmintic drugs praziquantel (PZQ), which causes paralysis and tegument damage, and albendazole, though PZQ is generally considered superior based on in vitro studies showing faster, more severe damage. Triclabendazole (TCZ) is less effective against adult flukes, while PZQ quickly disrupts the worm's muscles and outer layer, leading to death in cases of eurytremiasis (pancreas fluke infection).
How the Drugs Work
- Praziquantel (PZQ): This drug increases the cell membrane permeability, causing severe muscle spasms, paralysis, and disintegration of the fluke's outer layer (tegument).
- Albendazole: A benzimidazole that interferes with the fluke's internal transport and protein synthesis, also effective in treatment.
- Triclabendazole (TCZ): While used for other flukes, studies show it's not very effective against adult E. pancreaticum, with flukes remaining active.
Praziquantel is an anthelmintic (anti-worm) medication used to treat various parasitic worm infections, like schistosomiasis (blood flukes) and tapeworms, by causing severe muscle spasms and paralysis, allowing the body to eliminate them. Sold under brand names like Biltricide, it's taken orally, often with food, and common side effects include dizziness, headache, stomach upset, fever, and tiredness.
How it works
It increases the permeability of parasite cell membranes to calcium ions, leading to rapid muscle contractions, paralysis, and detachment from the host's tissues.
Side Effects (Common)
- Headache, dizziness, drowsiness.
- Abdominal pain, nausea, upset stomach, vomiting.
- Fever, feeling unwell (malaise).
- Mild skin rash, itching.
Important Considerations
- Administration: Take exactly as prescribed, with food, and do not chew or crush tablets unless directed, as they are bitter.
- Serious Reactions: Seek emergency care for signs of allergic reaction (hives, difficulty breathing, swelling).
- Contraindications/Precautions: Use with caution in those with seizures, kidney, or liver disease.
