In todays world we see a lot of people showing fear and wondering about the mark of the beast. Throughout social media you can see people wondering if wearing masks is the mark of the beast or speculating on if it is the covid-19 vaccine. For years people have talked about chips implanted under the skin as being the mark of the beast. These types of fears are building an anti-government spirit within the faith and that is not good. I am writing to submit to you that none of these things are the mark of the beast! It is GODs desire for us to submit to government authorities. Romans 13:1-2 says, Let every person submit himself to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from GOD, and those that exist are put in place by God. So whoever opposes the authority has resisted GODs direction, and those who have resisted will bring judgment on themselves (TLV). Of course, there are times when we must resist the government, but those times only come when we are asked to do something that will cause us to directly break Torah. Unless the vaccine has something that can clearly be identified as not kosher, we should have no worries about offending GOD by taking it, and where is the commandment that can be interpreted to support rebellion of wearing masks or even getting chips implanted in our bodies? There could be legitimate reasons to resist such things but using GOD as an excuse could lead to sin. For many years people have speculated on what the mark of the beast could be; whatever it is, it is something that will clearly go against Torah. It could be a though, desire, action, or a combination of those things. Regardless of what it could be, GOD has given us a way to be protected from taking on the mark of the beast. And another angel, a third one, followed them, saying in a loud voice, If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he shall also drink the wine of Gods fury, poured full strength into the cup of His wrath. And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb. The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. Those who worship the beast and its image and those who receive the mark of his name have no rest day or night. Here is the perseverance of the kedoshim (the saints)those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yeshua. (Revelation 14:9-12, TLV) The people of the world are going to rally behind something with an image and they will worship it, an act that clearly goes against Torah. Those who worship the beast, and its image, will receive a mark on the forehead or hand. Many believe that this mark will be something physical or visible, however, given the spiritual nature of the book of Revelation, I suspect that this mark will be something intangible, most likely a belief or thought process that some will accept in their hearts but not act on - those would most likely be the people who wear the mark on their heads. Those who have the mark on their hands could represent the people who will act on this ideal. These are just my speculations. Whatever this mark of the beast will be, there is no doubt that it will go against Torah. How can we protect ourselves from a mark that we simply cannot identify? The answer is found in Revelation 14:12 which says, Here is the perseverance of the kedoshim (the saints)those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yeshua. The Kedoshim, saints, those who resist the beast, and its mark will be people who keep Torah and have faith in Yeshua! This is the protection against the mark of the beast. It does not matter what the mark of the beast is, if we are careful to keep GODs commands and hold strong to our faith in Yeshua, the mark cannot be placed on us! In fact, earlier on in the book of Revelation we see that those described in Revelation 14:12 are looked upon as enemies of satan! So the dragon became enraged at the woman and went off to make war with the rest of her offspringthose who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Yeshua. (Revelation 12:17, TLV) The mark of the beast is nothing to fear for those of us who take the writings of Moses seriously and depend on Yeshua for our salvation. Isnt that something! In the end, we are saved by following Yeshua who kept Torah to demonstrate how we should live. Praise GOD for the mercy He has shown us all through His word!
