It's gone from inciting a riot that day with his "inciting speech" to: It was going on for months, planned for months, incited for months, pre-meditated, orchestrated and as a result the rioting that happened that day was foreseeable. What?
It was foreseeable? It was foreseeable, but they only had a few Paul Blart security school grads standing around providing "security" like a sieve? Based on everything they're saying now, how on earth was it so easy for the rioters to have their way? Clearly, they're not afraid to put in place whatever security they deem appropriate for a perceived threat as evidenced by the absurd presence of 25K troops at the Capitol right after and the ongoing presence of the National Guard right now.
As usual, the Dems' words and actions don't line up. They are contradictory. Their actions betray their very own words. Obviously they realized that the President's speech that day, alone, gave them no case whatsoever, especially when you don't edit out the "peacefully and patriotically" part of it. The rioting started BEFORE his speech was even over, so they had to expand their timeline to try and incorporate something, anything, that happened before the speech. So, they decided to branch out, go back further to try and manufacture a real case, but in the process, are completely undermining their own credibility and just highlighting their full blown stage 4 TDS.
Think about what you know of human nature. Did you hear any Congress member say, "Heck no, I wasn't surprised at all, we knew it would be coming, it was foreseeable based on months of intel. and I'm pissed off it happened so easily!" All I ever heard was, "I was stunned, shocked, confused, scared, surprised." None moreso than AOC. Why was she so scared, unprepared, surprised and ill-prepared in tangible ways as well as mentally and emotionally? Did she, in conjunction with security, come up with a plan for the imminent threat that had been forecasted for months, with President Trump right down the street lighting the fuse? Nope, none of it. This is simply Psych 101.
Have you heard any of them, Senators, Reps, going off on the lack of preparation for such a predictable event that had been forecasted for months? It seems like the rioters had the huge advantage of the element of surprise. They were going about their business that day, certifying the vote, knowing full well that President Trump was having his rally down the street and no one was worried one bit. Their preparations and actions, before, during and after the speech do not support their argument.
Ever watch 48 Hours and it goes like this: Cop to suspect: "John Doe was murdered last night." Suspect: "I didn't stab anyone!" Cop: "We didn't say he was stabbed." Oops. That's what the dems are doing right now, oops. But, they already know the proceedings are unconstitutional and that facts and timelines are irrelevant. They're just banking on enough fellow TDSers to to put their hatred for Trump and America above what is fair, good, right and decent. Talk about no surprises.
