If no. That civilization will be consumed by war and disease until nothing remains except for the artifacts.
If yes. That civilization loses its very identity, traditions, etc. But, they live and remain among men.
The end for a civilization is either a museum or a statue.
Once you start teaching history erroneously, it begins to plant the seeds of dissension. Ultimately, it'll lead to a war between ignorance and those that believed in the error. Once this happens, those who believe in the lies will lose more, and the consequences are greater.
Let's examine the American Indian. The error in teaching the minority was given raw and disillusioned deals broken.
That is not true. The land is bought and paid for by fair market trade and value. This isn’t to say some have taken advantage of business dealings. It happens then as it does today. The only people who touted wrongful doing are those who wanted war and bloodshed.
Now, fast forward to the present. These people believe the lies that have been told for generations. It's grown to become a massive brain drain among the people of the world.
Now, have someone come in to cause discourse and division, let it erode, and become violent. War becomes a reality, leaving it to be a war of or against race, while others declare it is a civil war. Further causing the turn of events .
The future? Those who held and fought for the lies will lose all of their identities, and they lost the war. Laws and bills are passed, and suddenly, there are no more Tribal held beliefs or lands. Reservations become cities built on the former.
No more tribal. Just another citizen of a nation remains.
That is why you teach history and curriculum properly and be careful not to stray from "The truth." Because there is no such thing as his truth, or their truth. There is only the truth.
Because no matter how thick you spread a lie. Truth will always overshadow and destroy the falsehood. That is why you can not war or stifle against the truth.
