This week on the Mansplaining Mike Show we kicked off a brand-new series: “Trump: Pinhead or Patriot?” 🇺🇸
Each episode we’ll be breaking down Trump’s record issue by issue—what he promised, what he actually did, and whether he lived up to the hype.
The first installment focused strictly on the First and Second Amendments. Did Trump keep the same fire for free speech and gun rights, and foreign aid that he had on the campaign trail? Or did his actions tell a different story? We put it to the test—and gave our verdict.,

Written by mansplaining Mike
I came across something Charles Manson once said that made me stop and think. Now, don’t get me wrong — Manson was a madman, not someone anyone should look up to. But sometimes even madmen say things that force uncomfortable questions.
Manson suggested that some groups build power by leaning into their role as victims. That thought led me to wonder: Would Israel be able to do what it’s doing to Palestinians if it weren’t for the memory of the Holocaust?
Think about it. Every time international outrage grows over bombings in Gaza or the endless occupation of the West Bank, what comes back? The reminder: “Never forget. Never again.” And yes, the Holocaust was real, horrific, and one of the darkest crimes in human history. No sane person denies that.
But here’s the hard part: does that history now get used as a shield for Israel’s government? Do the horrors of the past give today’s leaders a kind of immunity — a way to silence critics by accusing them of antisemitism the second they speak up for Palestine?
Because if that’s the case, then we’re watching tragedy upon tragedy. One group’s suffering in the past is being used to justify another people’s suffering today. And that’s a cycle of victimization and violence that should make every moral person uncomfortable.
So I’ll leave it with this question: If there had been no Holocaust, would the world let Israel get away with what it’s doing to Palestinians? Or is the story of victimhood what keeps it untouchable?
What do you think?

The White House admits it themselves: Democrats are pushing a proposal that would pour nearly $200 billion over the next decade into healthcare for illegal immigrants and other non-citizens. That’s enough to fully fund the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) — which exists to help American kids — with billions left over. Instead, they want it for people who broke our laws to get here.
---
Democrats Put Illegals First
The breakdown is staggering:
$91.4 billion: Obamacare subsidies for non-citizens.
$34.6 billion: California’s loophole extending Medicaid to illegal immigrants.
$28.2 billion: Enhanced Medicaid payments for emergency care to illegals.
$27.3 billion: A “special rule” in Obamacare carved out just for immigrants.
$11.3 billion: Medicaid and Medicare funding for non-citizens combined.
That’s $192.8 billion ripped away from American families, seniors, veterans, and children — given to people who shouldn’t even be here in the first place.
This isn’t compassion. This is betrayal.
---
Trump and the GOP: Israel First, Not America First
But here’s the truth most Republicans don’t want to hear: Trump is no different when it comes to selling out Americans. While Democrats are focused on giving your tax dollars to illegal immigrants, Trump is laser-focused on sending your money overseas — billions and billions to Israel.
Trump likes to say “America First,” but when it comes time to make the calls, it’s Israel first. And the Democrats? They do both — shovel billions to Israel while also handing billions more to illegal immigrants here at home.
So ask yourself: where’s the party that actually puts Americans first? Where’s the party that says, “No, we’re not giving $200 billion to illegals, and no, we’re not sending endless billions to Israel”? Neither side is saying it.
---
The Two-Wing Scam
This is the real game in Washington. Democrats buy future voters with welfare for illegals. Republicans buy influence and donor support by giving endless aid to Israel. Both wings of the bird feed off taxpayers while American families are left scraping by.
Meanwhile:
American kids are priced out of healthcare.
Veterans wait in line at the VA.
Seniors choose between groceries and prescriptions.
Workers get taxed harder just to fund people and countries that aren’t even American.
It’s the same pattern over and over: Citizens last.
---
The Bottom Line
Democrats want to spend nearly $200 billion on illegal immigrants. Trump and Republicans want to keep funneling billions overseas to Israel. Different slogans, same betrayal.
Until Americans demand a real Citizens First agenda, both parties will keep using your paycheck to bankroll everyone except you.

Witnessing what passed for “Charlie Kirk’s funeral” has been deeply unsettling — and not just for people who disagreed with his politics. The line between memorial and performance was erased. In place of quiet grief and private remembrance, we got fireworks, fundraising pitches, celebrity speeches, and a stage more suited to a campaign rally than a funeral.
When Mourning Becomes a Show
A memorial service was held September 21 in Glendale, Arizona at State Farm Stadium, drawing tens of thousands. What should have been a solemn, private moment for family and close friends became a theatrical production. Pyrotechnics went off as Erika Kirk and Donald Trump took the stage. The stage was lit up with sparklers, music, and loud cheers.
The organizers defended these choices. According to Andrew Kolvet, Kirk’s spokesman, “our staff loves the effect … Charlie loved it. We do not grieve the way the world grieves.” The message: This is how they want to mourn — with spectacle, with energy, with public display.
But grieving isn’t supposed to be a performance. Funerals exist — ideally — for the family’s private sorrow, for close friends to have a moment of introspection, and for attendees to honor the departed with dignity. When the line is crossed into spectacle, grief becomes co-opted.
Speeches That Served an Agenda
The event featured numerous high-profile speeches: Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Stephen Miller, and others. These weren’t short tributes. Trump’s eulogy ran about 40 minutes, during which he wove in political talking points — crime in Chicago, tariffs, national destiny — shifting from personal remembrance to campaigning. Much of the tone was triumphant, painting Kirk as a martyr for patriotism and faith.
When the dead become symbols, the mourning becomes hollow. The grief of a family becomes secondary to the ambitions of factions.
Fundraising as Eulogy
If the speeches weren’t enough, fundraising overtures followed closely behind. Turning Point USA saw a surge in donations immediately after Kirk’s death. The widow, Erika Kirk, launched fundraising campaigns and appeals as part of carrying on his legacy. The event itself reportedly held voter registration booths and sold merchandise — red hats emblazoned “KIRK” among them.
It’s not inherently wrong to fundraise, or even ask for support after a tragic death. But when that becomes part of the funeral pageantry — when grief, public mourning, and political fundraising blur into one — it cheapens the emotional integrity of loss.
Why It Feels Gross (Because It Is)
1. Erosion of Private Grief
The family’s right to a solemn, quiet moment was sacrificed for a massive public event. The voices that should’ve mattered most — close relatives, old friends — got drowned out by megaphones, cameras, and politics.
2. Grief as a Means, Not an End
When a funeral doubles as a campaign rally, grief becomes instrumentalized. It’s a tool to mobilize, to recruit, to galvanize supporters. The deceased becomes a brand, not a person.
3. Mixed Messages = Desecration
Fireworks, loud music, political speeches — these send a message that grief must be loud, triumphant, and mobilizing. But grief is also quiet, messy, contradictory, and unglamorous.
4. Controlling the Narrative
In such a setting, the narrative about Kirk was tightly controlled. He becomes sainted, martyrized, unassailable. That leaves little room for nuance, for critique, or for complex discussion of his life and ideas.
A Better Standard for Mourning
If we accept that public figures may warrant public memorials, we still need guardrails. A funeral can include a public service, but the tone must remain respectful of private mourning. Fundraising should be clearly separate. Speeches should focus on memory, not mobilization. And spectacle — fireworks, light shows — has its place in celebrations, not farewells.
What we witnessed was not just a funeral gone over the top; it was a funeral hijacked by politics. That’s not tribute. That’s optics. And it’s deeply disrespectful — both to the dead and to the mourners.

For two thousand years, Christians have lived, worshipped, and guarded the sacred sites of the Holy Land. But the treatment of Christian communities has varied dramatically depending on who was in control.
Looking back, many church leaders and historians note that Christianity was actually more stable under the Ottomans than it is today. While Christians lived as second-class citizens under Islamic law, they were able to maintain their churches, protect holy sites, and live without constant fear of bombings and displacement.
Today, under the modern State of Israel and amid settler violence in the West Bank, Christian churches and communities face direct attacks, harassment, and decline. The contrast is stark.
Life Under the Ottoman Empire (1517–1917)
Protected Status: Christians were classified as dhimmi (“People of the Book”). They paid extra taxes and didn’t have full equality, but they were generally protected.
Church Safeguards: The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem were safeguarded. The Status Quo decree of 1852 legally protected ownership and usage rights at Christian holy sites, and it still governs them today.
Relative Stability: Communities in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Nazareth lived with fewer large-scale disruptions. Pilgrims traveled, clergy served, and the churches remained intact.
Christians didn’t have political power, but they had continuity, legal recognition, and the ability to worship without daily violence.
Christianity Under Fire Today
By contrast, modern Israel/Palestine is marked by wars, settler violence, and harassment that has hollowed out Christian presence in the land of its birth.
Churches Bombed and Struck
Holy Family Church, Gaza (the only Catholic church in Gaza) has been struck multiple times. In July 2025, tank fire hit the parish compound, killing civilians and injuring the priest. In December 2023, two women were shot dead inside the church grounds, which leaders blamed on an Israeli sniper.
Saint Porphyrius Church, Gaza was hit by an airstrike in October 2023, collapsing a building in its compound where hundreds were sheltering. At least 18 civilians were killed.
Arson and Settler Attacks
In Taybeh, the last all-Christian town in the West Bank, extremist settlers torched cars, scrawled graffiti, and even set fires near the ancient St. George Church and its cemetery. U.S. officials called the attack an “act of terror.” Christian patriarchs accused authorities of looking the other way.
Desecration and Harassment
In Jerusalem, more than 30 Christian graves were desecrated in 2023 at Mount Zion Cemetery, crosses smashed and tombstones toppled.
Christian clergy have repeatedly reported being spit on by ultra-nationalists in the Christian Quarter of the Old City. Shockingly, one Israeli politician even excused it as “an old tradition.”
During Easter 2025, permits for Christians from the West Bank to enter Jerusalem were slashed, with only a fraction allowed to worship at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
The Impact
Population Decline: Bethlehem, once majority Christian, now has only a small Christian minority. Emigration accelerates as families seek safety abroad.
Loss of Sanctuary: Churches that once provided protection are now targets, undermining their role as places of refuge.
Marginalization: Constant harassment, from vandalism to spitting at clergy, signals to Christians that they are unwelcome in their ancestral land.
Then vs. Now
Ottoman Era: Christians had second-class status, but churches were protected, communities were stable, and pilgrimages flourished.
Modern Era: Churches are bombed, Christian towns attacked, graves desecrated, clergy spat on, and holy sites restricted.
The result is undeniable: Christianity in the Holy Land has declined dramatically in the past century, not because of natural emigration, but because Christian life is harder to sustain than ever.
Conclusion
For centuries, Christians survived in the Holy Land under Muslim rule with their holy sites intact. Today, under modern conditions, churches are burned, bombed, desecrated, and harassed, while communities are dwindling to a shadow of what they once were.
The evidence is clear: Christianity is under fire in the land where it was born, and if nothing changes, the living presence of Christians in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Gaza could vanish within our lifetime.
