Ant Death Wheel

Ants like the Siafu Ants Arica and Army Ants in South America are blind and follow scent trails left by other ants. If suddenly the scent is lost, an ant will wander about trying to find the scent. Other ants follow and eventually this leads to the death spiral you see here. They continue doing this following the ants in front until they collapse and die.
