When people hear the words “concentration camps’ they invariably think of WW II and names like Auschwitz, Dachau, Buchenwald, Mauthausen and Treblinka. Images of trains packed with Jews unloading their human cargo going to gas chambers and crematoria. They fail to realize a few historical facts. There was a difference between a concentration camp and a death camp, one was for slave labor and the other was a dedicated extermination center. But Germany did not create the concentration camp as we know it today. Written and hosted by Colin D. Heaton.
