The issue of illegal immigration is often framed as political or emotional, but Scripture addresses it as a moral and spiritual matter. The Bible speaks clearly about national borders, lawful authority, assimilation, work ethic, public safety, and compassion rooted in truth. This teaching examines immigration through a biblical lens rather than modern ideology.
In this message, we explore what God’s Word says about:
• Assimilation into a host nation and shared law
• Language unity and spiritual cohesion
• Obedience to governing authorities
• Why good intentions do not justify lawbreaking
• Personal responsibility and work ethic
• The dangers of importing hostility and criminality
• The God-given role of government in protecting citizens
• The difference between biblical compassion and toxic compassion
• Why Scripture never teaches open borders
Using passages from Exodus, Nehemiah, Romans, Acts, Isaiah, Judges, Thessalonians, Timothy, and Numbers, this study challenges believers to think biblically, not emotionally, about immigration.
Compassion and righteousness are never opposed in Scripture. God calls His people to hold both together. May we fear God more than cultural pressure and seek His truth with clarity, courage, and humility.
