View MoreI'm an advanced trained skywarn storm spotter I work for the national weather service my job is to get out during storms and report the ground truth to the national weather service so they can get the proper watches and warnings issued if need be radar is a good tool to use but it can only do so much it can't see what's going on on the ground and that's what mine along with thousands of other trained spotters do it is a volunteer program and is free to join and take the training I serve my community by being a storm spotter and reporting the truth to keep my community safe during bad weather.
