So let's use a can of green beans at the grocery store for this example. Keep in mind it's just not groceries it's EVERYTHING! Everything within your sight right now aside from the earth, trees and animals were made, sold and purchased. We all know food prices have in some cases doubled in the last four years coincidence? Lest I digress back to the beans. The beans on your shelf start at the farm. The farmer has to buy equipment, fertilizer, bean seeds, water, diesel fuel, packaging material, a truck for transport, has labor cost, has insurance cost, healthcare cost, utilities, his own food cost, loans, I could go on and on but that is what it takes for a bean farmer to produce beans. Ask yourself this question: has any of those above costs gone down? Of course all of those costs have gone up so he needs to not increase his price but maintain his margin. To do so he can cut cost, maybe labor, source cheaper materials or to maintain the quality of his beans he increases his sale price to the packager. The increased price is then reflected in the packager's price who sells to a distributor who passes it on to the grocery store who passes it on to the consumer. Everyone in the process is maintaining their margin. This example is for ONE item with several companies involved in getting those beans on your table and each one of those companies is simply maintaining their margin to survive. Let's look at the distributor the step ahead of the grocery store. They probably supply the grocery store with thousands of SKU’s that follow this same chain. Enter Kamala Harris to the rescue. She wants to use Litigation to fix this? Government litigation lol? Who do you point the legal finger to in the above example? How would the government pinpoint the business along the chain from farm to table that INCREASED their margin during this process? Is it illegal to increase margin in this county? Where I work I am asked to do so every day. So she is trying to tell us the US government has the ability to take legal action against basically everyone in the supply chain for everything produced except the earth, trees, animals etc? If you are naïve enough to believe that then that explains why you would vote for a woman that didn’t get a single vote ignoring democracy to get where she is now!
