I'll start off by saying that I believe that our kids are important and should be protected at all cost and this is the start of this. I've been pounding my head for a while now to see how to go about this the best way I can without writing a huge book and explaining everything that's going on right now but I couldn't come up with hardly anything until now. This Judge, Judge Deborah Decostro, is an elected official who was elected a few years back to represent my county. In order for her to get elected she had to hide her own criminal past from the public where she used the system back in the early 2000's, while she was an attorney, so her and her husband could "take" a baby off of a young mother so they could adopt the baby. Per the article that's attached to the petition, the mother finally got her baby back after 2 years, after the baby was calling this criminal judge "mommy". The sad story is in there and is attached to the petition. This "judge" currently resides over family court here in Beaver County PA. In order for her to get elected she had to hide her own criminal past from the voters. Now she decides cases in family court on whether kids have to go back to an abusive parent, which she has a history of doing. This petition is floating around on Facebook where quite a few mothers' are laying out there own heartfelt history with being forced to give up their child to the abuser. Given my history with my ex, I will stick up for a good father when it comes to their rights. But when a child makes a report of sexual abuse, it gets reported to the police and to CPS (which the police believes the child and CPS did state indicated on their report), the father did have supervised visitations until school was out and broke a few rules during the visitation and father still files a petition against mother to state that she was at fault for the reporting (which it was proven that she didn't even know it was report)....the child is still endanger of going back with the father even though the girl is scared of him. It's like this judge is taking a vindictive path to hurt young mothers' who want to protect their children. What I propose is that we fight to get rid of these local judges like this by trying to make our voices heard by petitioning our representatives to pass a law where any person, who is running for an office, whether local, state or federal, have to go through a background check and disclose that background check to the public. If it is discovered that they have a criminal record or have a negative mark on their history then they should be forced to disclose that to the public as well. If they hide it and if was a deciding factor on the reasons why they have been elected, then they should be forced to resign from their position. Something needs done because, on a personal level, I can see my stepdaughter being forced to go back with her dad and, I know the legal system doesn't like to use the word, he's a narcissist. I ask is please consider reading the petition and signing. If you own a media platform, maybe consider doing a story, not necessarily on this judge, but on judges like her, in order to save the kids. Maybe, if you have any ideas who to reach out to, please help there as well. I read stories about judges making bad calls and this one already made a couple that are too close to my heart and she shouldn't even be in her position. View MoreI want to thank everyone who took the time to read, sign and even respond to this post. I, like many other parents and caring adults, wants to save children, whether they are ours or not. Many politicians and judges have ran rouge for way too long and so have their egos which allows them to make decisions that controls the outcomes of so many Americans. If you took the time to read the stories that have been posted on this petition from other mothers and fathers, then you will read exact stories that is currently happening to my wife with her situation. These are heartfelt stories.... Then reading the news articles that this judge hid from the public so she could get elected at a judge in family court so she could make decisions that control and dictates the outcome of all these children. She is putting kids in danger and hurting good parents making them suffer through the constant worrying about what's going to happen to their child. Yes, many people can say that "they will do anything for their child" and we can all say that we will do things premeditated prior to a final order coming out. Maybe for some, that may be true. But lets get real, we know that fear is a driving factor in most cases and the "justice" (which I use that term very loosely) system can dictate our lives through fear. They can destroy our personal lives with the "power" that they were granted through their positions. When you have so much to lose, whether it's the job, homes, way of life, sanity and most important, your children, everything that can be taken away and destroyed by the system, then you tend to fall in line like everyone else in hopes to not lose everything. It's hard to do so...trust me, I've been there. If it wasn't for my youngest daughter and my current wife, I would have been 6' under a long time ago... Right now my plan is to write letters to multiple organizations and representatives in hopes to rattle some cages. Yes, it rarely works, but it does work at times. But since this petition is out there I want to push this as much as possible along with the stories and articles that are attached to it. I want to see this judge held accountable before she destroys my family and get my step kids hurt or even worse.
