If cultural roots are not protected, they don’t slowly fade —
they get removed.
You can celebrate many things.
But you should never be asked to be silent about who you are.
As long as we keep our roots and our ways,
we cannot be broken.
I do not wish you «Happy Holidays.»
I wish you a Merry Christmas.
