The State Department sends $3.3 billion in aid to Israel. Far more than what America spends on homeless veterans.

tried to strip that funding through an amendment to H.R. 119-749. The amendment went down in the House, with no Republican voting for it and 104 Democrats backing Massie’s effort to cut the money.
That vote marks a major shift from earlier sessions, when Thomas Massie and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene were the only Republicans voting to end U.S.-taxpayer-funded aid to Israel. Now the split is showing up more clearly across U.S. primaries, where pro-war, AIPAC-backed candidates are increasingly getting knocked off course.
The bigger picture is hard to ignore: more members of Congress are finally treating Israel aid as a live issue instead of automatic policy. And while the establishment still has the votes for now, the political ground is clearly moving underneath them.

Then I started asking a simple question.
When do we actually get what we were promised?
The faces changed. The slogans changed. The fundraising emails got more dramatic. But Washington kept humming along like a machine that feeds on outrage while producing almost nothing for the people footing the bill.
That's when I stopped seeing two parties.
I started seeing one political class.
Maybe that's the real establishment—not some shadowy cabal meeting in underground bunkers, but a culture where power protects itself regardless of which party wins. They fight on television, then shake hands behind closed doors while ordinary people argue with their neighbors.
I used to roll my eyes whenever someone on the left talked about corporate influence or concentrated wealth. Now I think they were at least asking questions worth asking.
Who benefits when Americans are constantly divided?
Who profits from endless culture wars?
Who gets richer while everyone else is told to blame the people next door?
I haven't become someone who agrees with every progressive idea. Not even close.
But I've become suspicious of politicians who tell me to fear my fellow citizens more than I fear the institutions that keep failing us.
Maybe the biggest trick wasn't convincing us the "other side" was evil.
Maybe it was convincing us that accountability could wait until after the next election.
I'm done waiting.
I don't want another savior.
I want leaders who remember they're employees—not celebrities, not influencers, not kings.
Maybe that's not left or right anymore.
Maybe it's just common sense.
