This truth is reflected in the political rhetoric of many parties, including the democratic and leftist movements of the world. Paradoxes and contradictions between words and actions have become an integral part of modern political systems. Political images and reality Democratic and leftist parties often base their rhetoric on promises of equality, freedom and justice. These slogans sound appealing and create an image of the party as defenders of the oppressed and fighters for the rights of minorities. However, reality shows that political actions often fall short of these ideals. For example, leftist movements talk about the need to reduce social inequality, but in reality may be making deals with corporations and elites that reinforce the very system they claim to oppose. This disconnect between words and actions is reminiscent of Shakespeare's idea of how politicians portray “what they do not see.” Their main task is to maintain the illusion of caring for the people while hiding their true interests behind it.
