🌍 AS NATIONS TURN TO SELF GOLD REFINERIES: WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY? 🪙📖
🇿🇲 Zambia has joined a growing number of African nations investing in domestic gold refining, following developments reported in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
According to Business Insider Africa (25 October 2026), Zambia's new refinery aims to process gold locally, strengthen mineral trading and retain more economic value within the country.
But beyond the headlines lies a deeper question: What is the value of gold compared with the riches of eternity?
📖 GOLD IN THE BIBLE — SEVEN PROPHETIC LESSONS
🔹 1. GOLD IN EDEN — Genesis 2:11–12
God created a world rich in resources. The question is whether humanity will manage those resources faithfully.
🔹 2. GOLD IN THE SANCTUARY — Exodus 25:3–8
Gold was used for sacred purposes. Our possessions should serve God rather than replace Him.
🔹 3. THE GOLDEN CALF — Exodus 32:1–8
A blessing became an idol. Nations can celebrate economic independence while forgetting their Creator.
🔹 4. THE REFINER'S FIRE — Malachi 3:2–3
While refineries purify gold, God seeks to purify His people for righteousness.
🔹 5. GOLD TRIED IN THE FIRE — Revelation 3:17–18
Jesus offers the spiritual riches that money cannot purchase: genuine faith, love and a transformed character.
🔹 6. GOLD AND COMMERCIAL BABYLON — Revelation 18:11–19
Earthly wealth and commercial power cannot prevent divine judgment. This passage calls us to examine greed, exploitation and misplaced trust—not to label every refinery a fulfilment of prophecy.
🔹 7. GOLD IN THE NEW JERUSALEM — Revelation 21:18–21
The Bible ends with a vision of God's glorious eternal kingdom. Our greatest hope is not in earthly reserves, but in Christ.
⚖️ A CALL FOR JUSTICE AND STEWARDSHIP
Will Africa's mineral wealth produce fair wages, responsible mining, transparent government and better lives for local communities? Or will the benefits be concentrated in the hands of a few?
James 5:1–4 warns against riches accumulated through the oppression of workers. Psalm 24:1 reminds us that the earth and its fullness belong to the Lord.
🔥 THE WATCHMAN'S MESSAGE
A nation may refine gold to 99.99% purity, yet still need spiritual purification.
A bank may store gold, but it cannot store eternal life.
A government may control mineral resources, but it cannot purchase the righteousness of Christ.

🚨 EUROPE’S ANGRY GENERATION: HOUSING, EDUCATION & THE LAST GREAT CRISIS 🌍📖
Across Europe, young people are raising their voices over unaffordable housing, educational challenges, insecure employment, corruption, and an uncertain future. From Spain to France, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Albania, and Serbia, a generation is demanding answers.
But what does the Bible teach us about these troubling conditions?

“Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!”

“Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth.”
📖 ISAIAH 40:31 (KJV)
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.”
In Testimonies for the Church, Volume 9, page 11, Ellen G. White warns of the dangers of selfish ambition, injustice, and social instability preceding the final crisis.
The message is clear:
⚖️ Justice must not be sacrificed for wealth.
🏠 Human dignity must not be forgotten in the pursuit of profit.
🎓 Young people need wisdom, opportunity, and godly education.
🕊️ Protest must not become an excuse for violence or hatred.
📖 God's people must remain grounded in Scripture and faithful to Jesus.
These protests do not, by themselves, prove that a specific prophecy has been fulfilled. Yet they remind us to examine the signs of the times, uphold biblical principles, and prepare spiritually for Christ's return.
JESUS IS THE ANSWER! Our hope is not ultimately in political systems or earthly prosperity, but in the everlasting gospel and the soon-coming King.

🌊 THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ, THE SCRAMBLE FOR TREASURE & THE FOUR LEPERS' MESSAGE! 📖🔥

The reported scramble by Iranian fishermen to recover valuable cargo from the sunken container ship GFS Pride raises a sobering question: When disaster creates an opportunity for gain, will we choose covetousness or conscience?
💰 MANY JUDAS FOR GAIN?
Judas betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14–16). His story warns us that when money becomes more valuable than truth, loyalty, and righteousness, the conscience is in danger. The lesson is not to condemn everyone recovering cargo, but to examine our own hearts.
⚠️ THE FOUR LEPERS' EXTRAORDINARY MESSAGE
When Samaria was starving, four lepers discovered that the Syrian army had fled, leaving abundant provisions behind. After initially taking food and valuables, they recognised their responsibility:
📖 “This day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace.” — 2 Kings 7:9 (KJV)
They returned to announce the good news! What a lesson for God's church: We must not hoard the message of deliverance while the world remains spiritually hungry.
🕊️ THE FOUR ANGELS HOLDING THE WINDS
Revelation 7:1–3 presents four angels holding the winds until God's servants are sealed. In Adventist prophetic understanding, this points to the restraint of destructive forces while God's sealing work proceeds.
The four lepers are not identified in Scripture as the four angels. Yet their story challenges us to announce deliverance while the opportunity remains.
🌍 PETER'S VISION AND THE WORLDWIDE GOSPEL
Acts 10 teaches that God does not want us to call people common or unclean. The everlasting gospel must reach every nation, kindred, tongue, and people (Revelation 14:6–12).
📢 THE WATCHMAN'S APPEAL
The world's treasures may perish. Commercial systems may be shaken. Nations may struggle for resources. But Jesus asks:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36.
Let us reject covetousness, uphold integrity, prepare our characters, and proclaim the Three Angels' Messages while divine mercy continues.

🌍 CHINA IS EXPORTING CENSORSHIP — WHO WILL CONTROL THE WORLD’S KNOWLEDGE?
📢 Today, it may be academic freedom and political speech; tomorrow, it may be religious conscience.
An article published by The Hill on August 6, 2026, by Brahma Chellaney raises concerns about China’s alleged efforts to influence global knowledge and suppress criticism through economic pressure, platform control, and restrictions on academic freedom.
The Bible warns us that truth can face opposition when powerful interests seek to silence those who speak against them.
📖 “We ought to obey God rather than men.” — Acts 5:29 (KJV)
📖 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.” — Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)
Ellen G. White warned in The Great Controversy, pages 588–592, about the dangers of religious and civil powers uniting to pressure people to violate their conscience. Her warning calls Christians to prepare spiritually for a time when obedience to God may conflict with human demands.
⚠️ Important distinction: Not every act of censorship fulfills Bible prophecy, and every claim must be examined carefully. Nevertheless, the principles of truth, freedom of conscience, and resistance to coercion deserve our serious attention.
THE WATCHMAN’S CALL:
✅ Defend freedom of conscience for every person.
✅ Test every claim by evidence and the Word of God.
✅ Refuse falsehood, intimidation, and religious coercion.
✅ Stand faithfully for God’s commandments and the testimony of Jesus.

⚠️ OMAR TODAY, THE CHURCH TOMORROW? GUARD YOUR WORDS AND YOUR TESTIMONY!
📰 The controversy surrounding Rep. Ilhan Omar and reports of a federal investigation remind us of an important lesson: words spoken today may return tomorrow to test our consistency. An investigation is not a conviction, and justice requires evidence, fairness, and due process.
As Seventh-day Adventists, we must ask ourselves: Do we defend truth and religious liberty only when our own interests are threatened? Do we condemn injustice against others, or remain silent until it reaches our own doors?

📜 THE ADVENTIST PIONEERS WARNED US
Ellen G. White wrote concerning the Waldenses:
“One indiscreet word let fall in the hearing of their enemies might imperil not only the life of the speaker, but the lives of hundreds of his brethren.”
— The Great Controversy, p. 67.
She also counselled believers:
“We must in no case misrepresent our faith by weaving unChristlike attributes into the work.”
— This Day With God, p. 99.2.
🔥 WHAT MUST WE LEARN?
✅ Verify before sharing allegations.
✅ Never confuse an investigation with proof of guilt.
✅ Defend justice and religious liberty consistently.
✅ Do not spread rumours or misrepresent another person's words.
✅ Correct wrongdoing within our own church instead of concealing it.
✅ Stand with those facing injustice, even when they do not belong to our fellowship.
✅ Let our conduct reflect the character of Jesus Christ.
Remember this solemn lesson: We may remain silent when others are mistreated because their suffering does not affect us. But what happens when the same injustice reaches our own door?
A watchman must warn others, but he must also guard his own testimony.
📖 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” — Revelation 14:12.
