"I am Donald, the Dreadful Dragon of Dundeedle. I live in a dungeon downstairs in Duke David's dwelling. It is a deep dungeon, a dark dungeon - a deep, dark, damp, dank, dreary dungeon. It is a dump!"
As the day progressed, we me tens of thousands, like minded new friends, the three in out clan were just a drop in the proverbial bucket of the masses on the hillside.
Looking back upon a family story of my great, great, great grandpa John, "spending Christmas with General Washington, within a few miles of this hillside." Clarification Grandpa John was Hessian, so that is another story.
I was there, my two friends were with me ! Moving up and down what was a swamp land area then,, & in some form of the word swamp, it still is today. Moving on,, we "awoke" on this dreary morn, to put afoot our travels, passed what is now many land mark buildings, including Washington Monolith, B.A. Historical Museum, Senate House Building. Down passed these structures, knowing what we were there for, was to support ----
OUR, CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC
Ten to to the power of ten to the power of ten to maybe again the power of ten were there in body and common thought. There was commoniradery and excitement of masses, awaiting #45, to appear on platform, after names who I was familiar with opened with introduction, prayer & pledge of aligence.
As, the 80 minutes of standing in the dank muck of thawing ground passed, a slow departure up grade toward Washington Monolith of hundreds, looking for MISSING SANITARY STRUCTURES, that parks department had not furnished, unlike what they had, for the previous gatherings of ____(words shall not be used here)
Traversing what seemed like 10 miles, yet only 2 miles in a slow walk with our newly made common friends toward the US of A Capital Building,, observation of newly found landmarks (which I had only seen photos of) knowing that Our forefathers had seen and planned this layout of a wagonwheel road complex to reach and access these structures.
As approach ofthe front of that massive building on which life would change for many,, our little clan of three, veered of in search of port-a-pot devices of which there again were none. Predestined arrival of a horseless carriage arrived at 2:26 p.m.,, we boarded and returned to Our boarding place in Arlington, VA.
We did what guys do upon return to our boarding,, and discussed plans to partake in sustenance. We went to Ted's Montana Steak House (another story there) to round out Our day experience. Around 5:30 p.m. EVERY cell phone device sounded,, noting that the Capital grounds had been shut down. There were maybe 35 to 42 folks in this restaurant when alarm happened, we all looked at the digital read,, (ATLAS) shrugged and continued our meal.
Enjoy this read,, there may or may not be the ""'rest of the story""" ❤
