Will it be income based (if it happens) rather than those with high income families (like +200k/yr) receiving?
If it were limited to those in middle class purgatory (too much for gov't assistance, not enough to thrive) and below, I could see it being a good thing.

There are truly 2 things that WILL destroy democracy:
1) stifling debate
2) loss of integrity of elections
By debate I don't mean politicians debating or tv hosts debating, but rather the debating among individual citizens. That debate is critical to democracy. It is these debates coupled with humility and respect that can lead to real ideas for solutions. Elections are meant to settle said debates
Thus election integrity is critical to a democracy. The efforts of any, whether left or right, to manipulate, cheat, or steal elections, is a complete threat to democracy.
We need to all stop being afraid to speak or debate, for fear of losing friends, being bullied, or canceled. That is, imho, what this country needs more than anything.
Present your arguments, listen to theirs, be open to change. There's no need to be extreme left or extreme right. End polarization.
