So why does a bottle of water need so many ingredients to make it taste like a bottle of water?

So many people do not like the taste of water. I never understood that although brands of bottled water does taste differently. I drink well water.

When we were kids , we drove out in the country to a natural spring coming out of a hillside to fill 5 gallon jugs with drinking water.. The spring is still there but my guess is there are only a few people left that know where it's at..
