I have passed through those hellish gates that read "Arbeit macht frei", which is a German phrase translated as "Work makes [one] free".
A phrase that had its roots in the evil socialistic ideology of socialism and fascism. The only freedom that millions of polish Jews, gypsies, political prisoners, and deplorables found was death.
I have seen the pile of suit cases, clothing, human hair, the gas chambers and the ovens.
They exist.
Many today deny that the Holocaust even occurred. Many more embrace the same evil socialistic antisemitic evil ideology that led to the existence of these death camps. Just look at the antisemitic protests in NYC for example.
I wish that every American youth would be required to visit Auschwitz. I pray that our education system would once again teach the truth of its history.

We celebrate the gift and ignore the cracks.
And then we act shocked when it all falls apart. We should hold leaders accountable before they fall not just after.
We should build systems of accountability instead of pedestals of celebrity.
Praying for the worldwide Church in these days.
