I was so grateful and humbled of the magnanimous showing how invaluable we are to the company. We work 10 to 12 hours a day. And weekends. We're not allowed to sit but have to stand the whole time while working. We have no air conditioning during the summer. When Engineers and management screw up we are called to clean up the mess.
But today such Appreciation was shown! We got a t-shirt along with some company stickers and a coaster! They even catered a meal for us!
As we went through the chow line we were carefully rationed out our portions. Management joined us in solidarity and we watched as THEIR plates were heaped 6 inches high above the plate. Then they proceeded to take their place among the rabble. Waddling their way as their guts jiggled and Protruded 4 feet from their belt and their butts bounced down to the back of their knees.
And of course they made sure we stopped to have our pictures taken so they could show the rest of the company how happy and privileged we are. Honestly it brought tears to my eyes.
