How to stop scammers (Or at least slow them down) and improve the platform for all:
1: When you set up your account -go to Profile Privacy (3 bars at bottom right on mobile app), set Friends List privacy to ANYTHING OTHER THAN EVERYBODY/COMMUNITY...
2: When you get a message/friend request from a scammer, check THEIR mutual friends list and EITHER message your friends to let them know about the scammer (maybe pass on point 1), or simply unfriend them. (People who don't protect the privacy of their friends list are not your friend, Friend.)
3: Stop expecting Daddy Wimkin to do this work for you. How do you think Facebook got to be such a tyranny? People surrendered control for convenience and comfort and ended up with neither.
