View MoreI have recently had some back and forth discussions about what is or is not in the U.S. Constitution and the "Article V Convention of States" has come up now and then. It makes me think we need to repeal the 17th (Popular election of the Senate) Amendment just like we repealed the 18th (Prohibition) Amendment with passage of the 21st Amendment.
I truly believe we would be better off if, as was originally intended, the U.S. Senate was chosen by the state governments rather than by popular vote. "Popular vote" was intended for the election of the House of Representatives.
I would gladly entertain any objections to my proposal.
