After repeatedly saying he would not interfere in his crack smoking, coke snorting, drug addled, hooker banging son's legal problems and saying he would not pardon him, he did so anyway. I don't believe he did it out of any paternal love for his child, but to cover his own corrupt butt from his participation in his son's crimes. I have no doubt that Joe somehow thought that his installed replacement, the cackling Whore of Babble-On would win the election with the help of the same crooked machine that got him elected in 2020, and that once she was in, the same propaganda media would just bury the story of Hunter under a pile of other distractions and Americans would just forget about it. That didn't work out too well for her and not for him and the Democrats in general. I wonder what happened to those 20 million votes, considering that election registration nation wide was up from previous years. Instead, the Democrats lost both the electoral and popular vote by a landslide, and Joe must have realized that with his son's convictions, his own participation in his son's crimes, as well as his own corruption, would come more to light than we already knew. For a crooked SOB like Joe is, a pardon was his only choice. In his remarks pertaining to the pardon, Joe said "For my entire career I have followed a simple principle: just tell the American people the truth." The thing is, he barely ever has told the truth. He has always lied about everything, from his college scores to made up or imagined stories of his life experiences, to issues of national and global importance. His legacy as a president has already gone down as the worst in US history. Record inflation, record numbers of illegals allowed to just enter the country unchecked along with their contribution to already rising crime in the US, especially with fentanyl coming across the border, and child and women being sex-trafficked into the country. He has repeatedly used the (in)justice system to go after his main political rival. It was probably without the least bit of irony or self-awareness when Joe said that Hunter was being unfairly and unjustly prosecuted. The pardon covers Hunter's crimes from 2014 to now. 2014 was when Hunter joined the board of Burisma, the crooked Ukrainian oil company of which the "big guy" was getting his 10%. Seems Joe is covering his own butt in his own involvement here. As would be expected, the usual pile of journalistic and political hacks defend the pardon, but a larger number of them have come out against it, seeing this for what it is. The optics of this really do not look good. However, with this pardon, Hunter can now be called as a witness to testify about other's involvements in his crimes. I hope they do subpoena him for that. So Joe Biden puts the final nail in the coffin of his "legacy". A lying, corrupt, incompetent president, the worst in US history. A man who used his office of senator, VP and President to enrich himself and his family, like many other career politicians, only he was one of the worst. He was always this before his dementia, so why should anything change? I have no sympathy for this crooked SOB. What he and his party have done to America is inexcusable. Rot in hell.
