For nearly five to six years I've had excessive night sweats and no amount of air conditioning or fans or not drinking anything hot at night has helped. It's difficult for me to have a good night's sleep without waking up with the sheets wet. I sleep on a towel. Sometimes two towels. I've been looking into treatments and some of them require surgery. I just want some answers and I just want a good night's sleep. I need healing. Thank you

View MoreOne thing I can say here is that I am not religious, I just love the Lord Jesus and I live to serve him. There is a big difference because the very moment that you equate Jesus with religion you make him less than who he says he is.
Never once in my lifetime have I ever had a politician's name on a sign in my yard, or on my car, on my hat, or on my clothing. I am not a Republican, I am not a Democrat, and I am not an independent. I am an American. I am a Christian. I vote conservatively because I believe it is the truth. I view a candidate through the eyes of scripture. And while no politician is perfect, I use the word of God and his principles and morals as a measuring stick. And whichever candidate lines up more with God's principles that's the one that I vote for.
I am not a conspiracy theorist, I do not attend big rallies, and I don't want to be considered a supporter of a politician. I am a supporter of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And I don't want to think that God is on our side I want us to be on his side. Abraham Lincoln said something to that effect.
But consider this, that we should stand up for truth and righteousness and defend it. But we should also Love our neighbor as ourselves, respect them, and love them without condition!
We can not only agree to disagree, but we can also love our enemies. If you are human you are my brother and sister. If you are breathing I love you.
The word Christian in and of itself means " little Christ unquote or to be christ-like. Christ loved all, he had mercy and compassion in gra ce on people yes. But he was also just and didn't put up with any crap! He judged but he judged righteously. Jesus was not Barney. He judged the Pharisees and the Sadducees for being hypocritical. He called them vipers sons of the devil and whitewashed tombs. But he never said that he hated them.
What I think about the past four years and how much hate and political angst that we have seen in the news it is mind-boggling. And it comes from both sides of the aisle. That is not unity. A politician cannot unite people. Neither can their political party. only the gospel of Jesus Christ and his saving grace can unite people together. Religion can't do that but Jesus can.
The church has got to start doing its job and start living the truth out in front of others instead of pointing fingers and judging hypocritically. Because Jesus showed us how to judge and how not to judge. You shouldn't judge hypocritically. but everybody judges. We just don't like it when that judgment is negative.
Politics has divided not only our nation, but also relationships. Jesus himself said pray for your enemies bless those who curse you. If you are Republican or if you are Democrat or somewhere in between. I love you for who you are not because of the way that you vote or don't vote.
Right now there's a lot of anxiety in our country. In the coming days, the coming weeks, in the coming year or years. But if you are a believer in the son of God in Jesus Christ, remember this. God is sovereign. That means that he is on the throne. He is Lord of all. He appoints rulers to their positions. Even Jesus himself when he stood before Pilate said as much of him to his face. And he led him to die.
So even though we might not like the way the election turned out, for God's own purposes in his own reasons he let it happen. But remember he is in control! And it's important that we do not cease praying. Reach out to those who don't deserve your love and show them that love. Grace is getting what you do not deserve. Grace is unmerited favor. And Grace is the only thing that is going to change our country. If people don't see Jesus in us and his word in us through our actions and not just our words then where else are they going to see him. Be that light to someone today. Goodnight.
