We produce more natural gas than anywhere else in the U.S. So why am I enjoying rolling power blackouts? Because our state government bought into the "green" energy liberal propaganda and made our power grid reliant on renewable sources. Solar is great. Until its cloudy or the panels are snowed under. Wind turbines are great. Until they freeze or the wind stops. How about we act like Texans and tell the rest of the country to pimp their failed energy ideology to the blue states and we use our gas and oil to keep our energy grid reliable
Mark- ive tried to read up and wound up in a place people were argueing about this. Is this the fault of the wind turbines? Or an overall collapse. Like lack of natural gas?
Its a perfect storm of failures. Turbines froze. Solar panels useless in snowy weather. Electric power plants run off natural gas and the huge demand lowered available pressure in the supply pipes and tripped low pressure fail- safes. Well heads shut down because they cant operate in these condition... View MoreIts a perfect storm of failures. Turbines froze. Solar panels useless in snowy weather.
