The Federalist Papers
This cartoon says it better than any speech could.
The house is on fire. The kid has the extinguisher. And Dad is parked in his recliner with his arms crossed, "teaching the GOP a lesson."
That's what sitting out these midterms looks like.
Democrats are desperate to hold power, so they opened the tent wide enough for democratic socialists to walk right in. The DSA didn't sneak through the door. They told everyone their plan. They run on the Democrat ballot line because they know third parties don't win in America. Their own writers call it the "dirty break," use the party's ballot access now, build power, deal with the party later.
Now Democrats are counting on that energy to stop Trump's agenda.
Here's the problem. The DSA doesn't want a seat at the table. They want the table.
Their membership has more than doubled since late 2024, passing 120,000 this summer. Their candidates are knocking off longtime Democrat incumbents in primaries. Establishment Democrats aren't growing like that. The socialists are.
And once they're in, they aren't leaving.
Let's be honest about our side too. Republicans, especially in the Senate, have been a disappointment. Too slow, too timid, too comfortable. That frustration is fair.
But staying home doesn't punish the GOP. It punishes you.
If Democrats take control, the work of the last two years gets undone. Back to open borders, no common sense, and nonstop investigations. Only this time there's a new ingredient, a real push toward socialism, led by people who have said out loud what they want.
You don't fix a leaky roof by letting the house burn down.
In Federalist 57, Madison argued that frequent elections are what keep the House answerable to the people. That check only works if the people show up.
The fire is at the door. The extinguisher is in your hand.
Get out and vote on November 3rd.

Don't just take our word for it. Listen to the Democrats. James Carville has openly talked about a "schism" and said some DSA-aligned candidates have no place in his party. Former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison told them that if they hate the Democratic Party, they shouldn't run for its nomination. When... View More
