The cross, the love of GOD, was literally woven into our bodies. Almost like GOD made us in his image.

What's true: Laminin is a real protein family, and it's a major component of the basal lamina (the thin extracellular layer that underlies epithelial and other tissues). It's a heterotrimer made of three chains: α, β, and γ. The diagram labels these A, B1, and B2, which is the older naming. It has binding sites for other molecules, such as collagen IV (via nidogen/entactin), cell-surface receptors (integrins), and proteoglycans. The labels in the left diagram reflect this. The three chains do coil together into a coiled-coil region. What's misleading or wrong: "Keeping human cells together" is oversimplified. Laminin anchors cells to the extracellular matrix and organizes the basement membrane. Cell-to-cell adhesion is mainly handled by other proteins like cadherins and tight junction proteins. Laminin isn't "the" protein responsible. The cross shape is the biggest issue. Real laminin is often drawn as a cross because that's how its three short arms and long arm are laid out in a schematic. But that's a diagram convention. Electron microscopy shows it as an asymmetric, cross-like or T-shaped molecule with unequal arms, and it's flexible, not a rigid, symmetrical cross. Many laminin isoforms (there are 16 or more) have different arm configurations, and some lack one or more short arms entirely. The right image is not a scientific depiction at all. It's a glowing, artistic rendering, not data from microscopy or structural biology. "Looks familiar?" implies a religious or design significance. Any resemblance to a Christian cross is coincidental. Schematics simplify structures into shapes, and a "cross" arises naturally when one long chain meets two short ones at a junction. Scientists draw it that way for clarity, not because the molecule is literally cross-shaped. Bottom line: The biology facts (laminin exists, has three chains, helps hold cells to the matrix) are real. The framing, that it's a literal cross responsible for holding all cells together, is a stretch built on a simplified diagram. Faith is a separate matter, and this meme doesn't offer scientific evidence for or against it.
