The Federalist Papers
"If it saves just one life, it's worth it."
You've heard it a thousand times. Every time there's a shooting, the left trots out that line to justify taking guns away from law-abiding Americans.
Fine. Let's apply their rule everywhere and see how long it lasts.
If deporting every illegal alien in this country saved just one life, would it be worth it?
Ask the family of Laken Riley. Ask the family of Kate Steinle. Both women were killed by men who had no legal right to be in this country. Those are just the names you know.
Suddenly the "just one life" crowd goes quiet. Enforcing the law is "cruel." Now it's all about "compassion" and "who we are as a nation."
Now try abortion.
Even Guttmacher, a group that backs abortion rights, estimates more than 1.1 million abortions in America in 2025. That's the highest number since 2009.
If banning abortion saved just one life, would it be worth it? By their own logic, the answer is obvious. Yet the same people screaming "if it saves one life" will march in the streets for abortion on demand.
That's the tell.
"If it saves just one life" was never a principle. It's a slogan. They pull it out when it helps them disarm you, and bury it the second it points somewhere they don't want to go.
A real principle applies everywhere. A slogan only applies when it's convenient.
And notice who pays the price for their version. Not the criminal. Not the cartels. Not the abortion industry. Just the law-abiding citizen who wants to protect his family.
If leftists didn't have double standards, they'd have no standards at all.
So here's the question. If "just one life" is worth it, why does it only ever apply to your guns?

Here's the part the left never wants to talk about. Gun control doesn't save lives. It costs them. This isn't a new idea. In 1764, Italian criminologist Cesare Beccaria wrote that laws forbidding the carrying of arms "disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes." Thom... View More
