The Federalist Papers
This cartoon perfectly exposes Democrat hypocrisy.
For four years under Joe Biden, the southern border was wide open. In fiscal year 2023 alone, agents logged nearly 2.5 million encounters at the southern border, an all-time record.
Chuck Schumer ran the Senate that entire time. He treated it like a talking point, not an emergency.
Meanwhile, border towns and working-class neighborhoods absorbed the fallout. Schumer's own New York City spent billions housing migrants in hotels and shelters.
Now look at where he spends his working days.
The Capitol is ringed by armed police, metal detectors and checkpoints. After January 6, they wrapped it in a fence topped with razor wire for months.
Nancy Pelosi once called a border wall an immorality. A fence around her own workplace? Just common sense.
As Majority Leader, Schumer had an armed Capitol Police detail at his side.
Walls and guards for them. An open door for everyone else.
And it's not just the border.
Remember Obamacare? Democrats sold it as good enough for every American family.
But when Congress moved onto the exchanges, taxpayers kept covering roughly 70 percent of members' premiums, a deal no self-employed American buying their own plan ever got.
Leadership and committee staffers never had to switch at all.
They pass the law. Then they write themselves a better deal. And they hope you never read the fine print.
It's the same story every time.
Gun control from people surrounded by armed security. Climate lectures from people flying private. Lockdown rules from politicians caught at the hair salon and the French Laundry.
The worst part? They don't even see it.
They honestly believe their gates, guards and special deals are just common sense. But when you want a secure border, suddenly you're the bigot.
The rules are for you, not for them.
