Illinois man on ankle monitor with 29 priors protected by DEMOCRAT POLICIES is accused of k*lling a CTA janitor.⠀Prosecutors describe a man entering a transit station without paying on October 8. He sprayed mace on a worker then pursued him and st*bbed him in the neck.⠀The victim d*ed at the hospital. The suspect was on electronic monitoring for felony probation at the time.⠀Prosecutors had filed at least four times to revoke the monitor over curfew violations. He also had two active felony warrants for missing court dates in retail theft cases.⠀Court records show a 2018 conviction for cutting a teenager’s throat with a box cutter that drew three years. CBS reported roughly 29 prior offenses overall.⠀Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen Burke has called the electronic monitoring system broken. As of August 2026 she said 79 people charged with m*rder or attempted m*rder and more than 300 total defendants were AWOL on monitors.⠀Illinois Democrats under Gov. JB Pritzker enacted the Pretrial Fairness Act eliminating cash bail and sanctuary policies that have led to the release of over 500 criminal illegal immigrants despite ICE detainers, according to a House Judiciary report.⠀Campbell is being held pending trial.
